This Gallery contains pictures of vintage playsets, mostly by Marx.  Marx started making playsets in the early 50s and continued making them into the late 70s.  For me, they were the toys that grabbed hold of my imagination and never let go.

When I was a kid, I never realized how many different playsets Marx made.  I know I spent hours drooling over the Sears Christmas Catalogues, but somehow many of the sets I would most like to own now never even registered on my mind back then.  I loved my Fort Apaches and my Civil War and Alamo and World War Two sets.  I still do love those great old sets...but there are so many others out there!  Click on a box and see what's inside.
