The
Johnny Ringo Western Frontier Set is the stuff of Playset collecting
Legend. It is both scarce and desirable. It was
produced for only one year and was a Ward's
exclusive. The TV show it was based on lasted only one year
before being cancelled. It is also boasts a host of very
desirable parts...a great litho box, the most dynamic character
figure Marx ever made, covered wagons including the rare yellow one,
the mine, the miners and trappers, a downsized cabin, as well
as a generous helping of some of the more common western
figures and accessories.
Over the years I've heard a
number of stories about how and where these rare sets have turned
up. I never thought I'd be adding my own chapter to the Legend
of Johnny Ringo!
